Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 March 2025
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Peredur platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: not legal advice
Peredur provides legal information, not legal advice. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, creates a solicitor–client relationship, or establishes any professional duty of care. You should not rely on Peredur as a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor. If you need legal advice, please consult a regulated legal professional.
1. About Peredur
Peredur Ltd (“Peredur”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate an online platform that provides guidance, tools, and AI-assisted support to help people in England and Wales understand and navigate family court proceedings.
Peredur is not a law firm. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal regulatory body. We do not provide regulated legal services within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using Peredur, you confirm that you are 18 or over and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using Peredur on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

- Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without written permission
- Use the Percy AI assistant to generate content for improper purposes

- Use the platform in a way that could bring Peredur or the legal profession into disrepute
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Percy AI assistant
Percy is an AI assistant powered by large language model technology. You acknowledge that:
- Percy's responses are generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies
- Percy provides information, not advice — its responses do not constitute legal advice
- You should verify important information independently before acting on it
- Percy is designed to escalate domestic abuse, child protection, and self-harm signals to emergency resources — do not attempt to circumvent these safety features
6. Subscriptions and payment
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By providing payment details, you authorise us to charge the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial months except where required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at billing@peredur.co.uk.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Peredur platform, including guides, form walkthroughs, the Percy AI model configuration, software, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Peredur Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission. Personal, non-commercial use for your own court proceedings is permitted.

- We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- We are not liable for any loss or damage (including legal costs, court penalties, or adverse outcomes) arising from your use of or reliance on information provided by Peredur
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 or the subscription fees you paid to us in that period
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, or on 30 days’ notice for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Peredur after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
